I fucking hate Zenitsu

I enjoy Demon slayer. I see why people like it and overall I think it’s a pretty good series, (even if it’s overrated) but one thing I absolutely despise about it Besides the massive backstory drop of Demons at the end of every arc to make the audience feel sorry for them is Zenitsu.

This guy is one of the most annoying supportive characters. I get what his deal is. He’s meant to be a representation for how most people would be in this situation, but really, he just sucks. Let’s see, he’s a total pants pissing coward, he Simps over every girl he sees, he can’t stop screaming, and he’s only useful in anyway shape or form when he’s asleep. The worst part of all of this is that I meant to like him, except there isn’t anything to like about him. Sure he’s a bad ass when he’s sleeping, but just because he’s actually competent when he’s asleep doesn’t make him likeable.

He’s annoying he won’t shut the fuck up constantly complaining about having to do his fucking job and always simping over Nezuko or any woman within his vision. Honestly props to both his dub and dub voice actors because they do a really good job with him and I feel sorry for their vocal chords.

I know he has insanely low self-esteem issues and he knows he’s a coward, and he hates himself for it, and that would be fine, but it honestly doesn’t feel like he’s trying to change or at least get any better plus it doesn’t help that he never stops fucking screaming at everything.

I was told he gets better as the show continues, but season three is coming up and I still don’t like his character.

Honestly, chainsaw man did his character way better with Kobeni who started off as a representation for how most people would be in that situation, but then turned into a plot armour joke which was fucked up in a funny way. Best part is she’s a side character and not a main character so while she appears often, she isn’t one of the main driving forces of the series.

If I have to say one nice thing about him, he’s better than My Hero’s Mineta or Zero Escape’s Eric because if I’m being honest, they’re worse.
