[SPOILERS][THEORY]Sakura Card Captor: Clear Card [THEORY]

So I been quiet intrigued about the whole mystery for Clear Card… and after watching the second movie, which according to CLAMP it is canon… I have a working theory, also based on several posts here on the reddit. Wanted to share it, in case it ends up being true :P

So here are the basics and facts:

• Clow Reed was the strongest magician, and he got multiple types of decendants:

• • Blood-line decendants: Shaoran Li

• • Reincarnation: This one got splited into two… one being Fujikata (Sakura’s father) and the other one being Eriol Hiragizawa… However from those two, Eriol got to keep Reed’s memories, and magic, and at the end of the Sakura Card Captors manga, he transferred half of this magic to Fujikata… so he was able to see his loved one again (Sakura’s mother).

• Touya has magic, however.. as his father said.. this magic bears a resemblance to his mother magic.. which is safe to assume then that A)Sakura’s and Touya’s mother had magic, and B)That magic is different from any kind of magic that Fujikata may have, which means its 100% different from anything related to Clow Reed.

Now from Clear Card we know the following

• The amount of close ups and importance given to Akiho Shinomoto, Yuna D. Kaito and Momo… it is heavily implied that in fact Yuna and Momo are Akiho’s guardiands, and equivalent of Kero and Yue.. also on the manga it is shown that Momo actually speaks to Yuna…

• There are new cards, that in some way resemble the Clow cards, but they are different in many ways.. for example Jump and Gravity.. sakura used both for the same purpose.. but in theory they are different. It is safe to assume that those cards have nothing to do with Clow himself.

• Sakura cards, have gone clear… and not valid…

• Sakura can FEEL these new CARDS, meanwhile Syaoran, Kero, and Yue (all linked to Clow) CANT.

From the second movie, we know the following

• For everyset of cards there should be a card with opposite energy.

• Sakura was able to capture and transform this last card, by using her first card made completely by her on the first movie, which was LOVE… having as a result the card HOPE which is a combination of the nothingness and love…

• A card, that works as a balance for the whole set of cards, may have the power to actually delete, or apply magic to the other 50 cards of the set.

Now on fan theories:

• Akiho is actually the reincarnation or is related to Sakura’s mother.

• Momo and Yuna are Akiho’s guardians, and therefore… the Clear Cards are actually akiho’s job to capture.

Now on the first one.. the only issue would be that Sakura’s mother spirit is still present, since Touya has been able to see her, before giving up his powers, not to mention that she is the same age as Sakura… and even tho sakura dosent remember her mother, I don’t think there is still enough room for Akiho to be Nadeshiko’s reincarnation.. HOWEVER.. I STRONGLY believe they are related…

On the second one… its not far stretched.. they do resemble Eriol’s, and Sakura’s dynamic, with one little animal guardian, and a human type of guardian. However … guardians are there to protect the magician AND the CARDS… therefore its not far fetched to assume those new guardians are there for Akiho and the new clear cards.

Now.. stay with me…

Lets do a brief summary of what I think are the KEY clues here:

• Touya has a different magic, from his mother that has nothing to do with Clow Reed.. Sakura is literally the product of love between these two types of magic (Fujitaka- Clow, and Nadeshiko).

• Syaoran, who is blood related to Clow, cant feel the new cards, as well as Yue and Kero..

• Clow separated himself in TWO reincarnations…..

• Akiho is somehow related to Nadeshiko

• Akiho has guardians, and cards.

• Something happened with these cards, that they need to be re-captured, and an external force made the Sakura Cards go clear.

Now time to deduce some stuff: (THIS IS WHERE THIS GETS INTERESTING)

• Sakura is the product of Clow’s magic + X’s magic.

• Sakura can feel the new cards, and Syaoran cant.. which means the new cards are X’s magic.

With that we can prove that:

• Since it’s a safe bet to assume new cards are Akiho’s, and Sakura is able to feel those because of Nadeshiko.. its safe to say that Akiho and Nadeshiko are related, the same way Fujitaka and Eriol are related. They are both the reincarnation of X.

• Sakura is able to feel all of this

Now... Who else in the UNIVERSE of CLAMP… follows the following:

1. Strong magician, who is dead, and is able to reincarnate in two different entities…

2. One of X’s reincarnations, actually fell in love with Clow’s reed reincarnation.

3. Is dead, but it was known to Clow since Eriol’s seems to have knowledge of X.

Well the only one who fits into X’s description is … YUUKO ICHIHARA…

The witch who was deeply in love with Clow Reed.. when she died.. clow wished so hard for her not to die that she lived, and but at the price of the events in Reservoir Chronicles… she wasn’t truly alive, and was living in this limbo type of dimension… at the end of those events (tsubasa reservoir chronicles, and xxholic, its safe to say she is dead)…

In fact Fujitaka’s relationship with Nadeshiko is literally Clow Reed’s and Yuuko’s (assuming, Clow didn’t had the magic to wish for her not to die).

Now here is what I think it happened…

Yuuko reincarnated in Nadeshiko and Akiho , same way Clow did with Eriol and Fujitaka. Fujitaka fell in love with Nadeshiko, and she passed away, but her spirit is still there with Fujitaka.

There are some Yuuko cards, and Akiho being the equivalent of Eriol was her dutty to capture those cards… however she had some complications with the card 52, (see CC the second movie), since this is the strongest card, she needed to give the most important thing… (in case of sakura it was her memories and love with Syaoran)… for Akiho it was her memories and feelings she had for the cards (notice how some cards are super friendly with sakura).

That’s why Akiho does not remember being a Card Captor, and was able to go asleep by her own card without feeling anything… that’s why Momo (in the manga, and im assuming in a near future in the anime as well), ONLY talks to Yuna… but keeps quiet near Momo… and that’s why Yuna with Momo and Akiho, moved to Japan, since Yuna knew that the OTHER decendant of Yuuko, which also happens to be a Card Captor, Sakura, is in Japan.

That’s why even at the end of an episode, Yuna was sooo interested in knowing if Sakura was friendly towards Akiho, and was happy to realize that. That is also why Sakura’s magic is not from the Sun or from the Moon… its from the union of both (The Stars).. theres even some magic ciricles that further make some emphasis on that…

This also explains, why Sakura was the choosen one by Reed… why her magic is one of the strongest…and that she is basically the child Reed and Yuuko never had… (which I believe in some universe of Tsubasa, she actually is).

So that’s my theory… I hope to be honest to be into something and wanted to share in case it is true :P

TL;DR: Akiho and Nadeshiko are the reincarnation of Yuuko Ichihara, in the same way Fujitaka and Eriol are of Clow Reed.. the new cards are only being sensed by Sakura, and not Syaoran because they are Yuuko’s magic… and Akiho lost her memories due to a complication with card 52, the same way Sakura was about to lose her feelings for Syaoran, on the second movie.
